Wow, a fellow D&D owner. We even have a similar D&D AV setup (see my profile). Have you tried the Baach plugin with your 8Cs? I'm tempted to go for the trial, but I'm reluctant because of the price of the plugin. Seems a bit much for software, especially since I've seen the uBACCH and Bacch4mac products go for less. I hear its interesting tech if it works for you.

Main two channel stereo:

Lumin U1 Mini streamer -> PS Audio DirectStream DAC -> Audio Reasearch LS15 line stage -> 2x AudioPax Model 88 monoblock amplifiers -> Avantgarde DUO Omega hornspeakers, JL Audio Fathom F112v2 sub.

Main AV Atmos system:

Anthem AVM90 processor -> Monoprice Monolith 8250x 8-channel amp -> Dutch & Dutch 8Cs for front 3 speakers, Mesanovic CDM65 surrounds, SVS Prime Elevation height speakers, Martin Logan Descent sub.

Second two channel system:

Raspberry Pi streamer -> Audio Aero Capitole DAC/CD player -> Classe CA-300 amp -> Martin Logan reQuest electrostat/hybrid speakers, Velodyne HGS15BG sub. Just replaced the panels in the reQuests.

Garage stereo:

Chromecast Audio -> Dynaudio XEO 2 powered speakers

Upgrade I would like to try: Holo Audio Spring 3 DAC w/preamp
