Hi Everyone,
I just joined The San Francisco Audiophile Foundation. I am already enjoying the web site, and hope to join in on some of The Foundation's events. My wife and I had already hoped to visit the radio museum on Alameda, so maybe the CHRS event with SFAF will be our first event.
By way of an introduction, I have been a lover of music, radio, and all things electronics since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. I am now 63 years old. My interest in electronics is what led me to a degree and career in electrical engineering.
These days, my music listening is all via streaming. In 2006, I ripped all of my 1100 CDs to a disk drive, so I can play them with a Squeezebox. The Squeezebox also allows me to stream from Tidal, Deezer, and Pandora.
My 2-channel gear is a Squeezebox playing digitally to an Anthem STR preamplifier, which connects to a Nakamichi PA5 power amp. The Nakamichi powers 2 Kef Reference 3 Loudspeakers, and an SVS subwoofer. I use iPeng on an iPod Touch to select music.
I hope to share my love of music and audio with others on this group. I will especially like reading what others have to say about audio and music.
Warm regards,
Tom Shults
