About this event
Alberto Guerra is the founder, CEO, and chief designer of AGD Productions, the California high-end audio company he established in 2015. Italian-born and trained as a nuclear engineer, he spent decades in power semiconductors at International Rectifier, Vishay, and Semtech, and holds ten patents covering packaging, power module topologies, and GaN devices. Having worked on the team that developed GaN technology at International Rectifier, he applied it to audio — bringing the first GaN-based amplifier to market.
We recently listened to the AGD Gran Vivace MkIV monoblock amps at our Class D Showcase event and Alberto kindly provided us with a pair to show.
Alberto will talk about how he started his company, what sets their amps apart from other Class D manufacturers and where he sees the future of Class D amps. He has also launched the new AGD Allegro all-in-one product he may tell us about.
