Getting Out of Analog — Selling Nearly Everything
Dan Rubin

I’ve made the difficult decision to get out of analog, at least for the time being. I will be selling all of my vinyl playback hardware and a good deal of my LPs. Over time, I’ll prepare ads and take photos for individual items, but I thought I’d post an overall list now without descriptions, photos or prices. My hope is to find buyers for some things and save the ad-prep effort. Pricing will be more than fair, but I’m not giving anything away. If anything on the list interests you, send me a PM. I’m in Redwood City.

Dan,

That you are choosing to sell off all of your analog related items is indeed surprising news.

Should we arrange an intervention and try and talk you through this decision?

Cheers,

🤓Appreciate the concern, David, but I’m good with the decision, which has been a long time coming. I made it palatable by deciding to keep my favorite records just in case.

I don’t listen to vinyl in my system hardly at all anymore, though I do love analog gear and LPs. Thus all the unplayed LPs and barely used hardware and tweaks. Want to reclaim the rack and shelf space and direct the focus and funds to digital playback. Fortunately I have some good friends who listen mostly to analog, and their systems are better than mine.

Hi Dan,

Sorry to hear this. Against my better judgement, I'm going to ask what you would like for the Technics turntable? A friend of mine just got the top of the line SL-1000RE-S and I have become VERY enamoured by it and thus interested in the Technics SL-1200G. How quickly are you looking to sell it? I need to figure out if I can afford it and how long it would take me to pull funds together.

Also, if you ever find the need to listen to Analog, you are always welcome over here.

I hope you are safe and well.

Very Best Regards,

Gregory

Can't wait for the LP listing(s)!

Hi Dan,

Is the HumminGuru Ultrasonic Vinyl Record Cleaner still available? If so, how much would you be willing to part with it for?

Kind regards,

Harry Max
