Thought I would get into reel-to-reel and read how awesome the RS-1520 was. So I had J-Corder do all the upgrades and the Mac tribute look. I have to say I was stunned when it showed up. It looks amazing. And the sound blew me away. Better than any DSD or my coveted first presses. What could go wrong? I forgot to inform my SO how large it is. Suffice to say in the spirit of martial bliss, it has to go. (the whole system was in the mix at one point, gasp).
So I am selling the 1520. Sigh. I paid $34K for it, so I figure $17K is fair. I’d consider offers. Feel free to stop by and give it a listen. It really is a beauty. I am including the Transparent Reference power cord.
