Radio Day by the Bay 2025 returns bigger than ever on July 19 at the California Historical Radio Society’s Radio Central in Alameda. This annual festival celebrates both the golden age of radio and the future of broadcasting with a full day of live entertainment, historical presentations, and hands-on activities.

Highlights include: Live hosting by Hoyt Smith and Sylvia Chacon; Performances by Don Neely’s Royal Society Jazz Orchestra; Stan Bunger’s special feature, “San Francisco’s Forgotten Broadcasters,” spotlighting the Tong family legacy; The Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame (BARHOF) Class of 2025 induction and the Don Sherwood Award, presented by Ben Fong-Torres and Celeste Perry; A tribute to legendary station KEEN; A live radio play, vintage auction, and multiple chances to win a C Crane radio

Attendees can also enjoy museum tours, a surplus electronics sale, food trucks, live ham radio demonstrations, and a boombox builder contest. Vendor booths, collectibles, and unique finds round out the experience, making this a must-attend event for radio enthusiasts and families alike.
