MSB Factory Tour

On December 5th, over a dozen members of the audiophile community gathered in Watsonville, California, to tour the headquarters and manufacturing facility of MSB. MSB is a manufacturer of high-end audio products, including DACs, transports, and amplifiers. For 25 years, MSB has been a California-based company that has advanced digital front-end technology through in-house development.
The tour was led by Jonathan Gillman (CEO), Daniel Gillman (Product Designer), and Dustin Symanski (Circuit Designer). We began our visit at the front of the facility, where we observed the offices and development areas.
Next, we moved into the large warehouse, which includes preproduction, the PCB shop (testing and assembly), and the machine shop. MSB employs hands-on technicians in certain areas of development, while utilizing highly automated robotic stations in others, ensuring pinpoint accuracy for producing high-integrity assemblies.
The tour lasted about an hour, after which visitors had the opportunity to audition streamed music in MSB’s custom built research and development sound room.
For those who were not able to make the drive down to MSB’s facilities, we captured the event on video for your viewing pleasure. A special thanks to Rob Clevenger, our volunteer videographer, who videoed and edited the event for our members. We hope you enjoy the video.
